The use of Web 2.0 tools offers many opportunities in hybrid and Web-based nursing courses. “Examples of Web 2.0 tools include social networking sites, blogs, wikis, video sharing sites, hosted services, web applications, mashups, and folksonomies” (Pileggi, Fernandez-Llatas, and Traver, 2012, p. 855). Most of these tools can be incorporated within a course management system.
For this discussion, you will:
•Perform a Web search on Web 2.0 by navigating to the video search function of your favorite search engine (Google, Bing, et cetera). Watch a few videos that describe Web 2.0. Share your video links with the class in your response.
•Describe how Web 2.0 tools could be incorporated in your nursing module and provide specific examples.
•Share your experience with using Web 2.0 tools in your nursing classes
