They are meant to demonstrate your critical engagement with the subject matter, your own experiences with it, drawing connections between the course materials and class activities, and relating it to your own lives both inside and outside the university. Some questions to consider: What are the key concepts within each text? What connections do you see between the texts? What arguments, questions, and/or critiques are they articulating? How are these critiques relevant to your work and life? What do they ask of you? What can you do/make using these critiques?
c. They do not have to cover all of the readings for the week, but it should engage 2 or more the readings assigned for that week. You can choose which readings you would like to discuss in your writing. You can cite/quote readings, but no more than 2-3 lines of quotations. If you directly cite or paraphrase a text, be sure to cite your source(s).
